Bi-Polar? or Normal Mother?

(this post may explain any insane things anyone might or might not have seen posted on here last week)

I had the craziest week last week, some of it was so amazing, and other parts were out of control, and parts were very depressing and seemed to bring the rest of the week down. So before I can post about the awesome parts, I need to show the mental chart of my week.

Sunday...middle ground-ish, I enjoy hearing the teachings of the Gospel, but for a while have had this nasty stomach churning going on as soon as Saturday afternoon comes around. It has a lot to do with trying to keep children reverent and facing people that I don't really want to be around, for a variety of reasons.

Monday...does anyone really like Mondays? It was a holiday and the kids were looking forward to the day off, and I was looking forward to taking them to do something...it didn't happen due to a little too much disobedience.

Tuesday...ugh...crash and burn (due to McKee) then I had a great time with the smaller kids once the older 2 were in school.

Wednesday...SUPER UP! this was my day off! more to come on that!

Thursday...I thought Tuesday was crash and burn...I pretty much gave up on life Thursday. When one thing is so bad, it makes the rest of the little things seem hopeless and "what's the point?"

Friday...rough morning, as usual...but the rest of the day was INCREDIBLE! more to come on that one.

Saturday...rough morning again...I'm noticing a pattern here...but when Mike got home from work, things were better and then pretty good.

So, my question is...does anyone else have weeks like this? How do you deal with this yo-yo stuff? I would be happy just keeping things at a consistent level.

I stopped trying to be all things to all people and started doing what was best for my family and me. It takes a lot of courage to stop worrying about what the rest of the world thinks, but it has freed me to focus on the things that are truly important to me. Take that for what it's worth. :)

Sounds like a crazy week for you. Keep up the great work and remember that many people think you are so smart, loving, lovely, and fun.
Mckee may be in the pre-teen stage- it is not pretty as your loving kid turns into a monster, and suddenly has very different ideas of what life should be like. It is especially hard when #1 hits this age- what is going on? Recognize whatis going on for him, and remember that it will get smoother.

The above really was from Tammy M. !!

This is from me.

I agree with all of the above. I was a terrible brat in my pre-teen and teen years. Thankfully nobody killed me and I grew up. Yeah for maturity!

New Year Day

Today was a fun day. Mike and I sat the kids down and explained our new chore system and any over our expectations of them. It seemed to go...
